Joint Council on Faculty Affairs

Responsibilities

The Joint Council on Faculty Affairs is a standing joint council of the Sul Ross State University Faculty Governance Organizations. The primary responsibilities of the Joint Council on Faculty Affairs are to:

  • Receive and review the tenure and promotion recommendations from the Tenure and Promotion Review Councils; and
  • To transmit the recommendations to the Chief Academic Officer of the University by the Friday before Spring Break each March.

Membership

Membership is appointed by presiding officers of the Faculty Governance Organizations, Faculty Assembly, and Faculty Senate.

Chair

The senior faculty member shall serve as chair.
