Rio Grande College Staff Council

The Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College Staff Council formed during the 2014-2015 academic year. RGC staff members served on the Staff Council centered in Alpine until that time and the RGC Staff Council now operates with its own bylaws and budget to represent all of the RGC staff.
The mission of the RGC Staff Council includes 1) Developing, maintaining, and promoting an atmosphere of cooperation among full- and part-time regular staff across departments and locations of RGC; 2) Providing staff with a positive and collective voice in RGC matters that pertains to them; 3) Providing a forum for staff to openly discuss matters that relate to and affect RGC; and 4) Serving as an advisory board to the RGC Associate Provost/Dean and the SRSU President regarding staff interests and concerns.
