FINANCIAL AID INFO

The 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is Now Available!

It is important to submit a renewed FAFSA every year as soon as possible!

  1. Payment Crediting:
    • All loan payments are credited to student accounts in two parts. This ensures that funds are allocated efficiently and accurately.
  2. 30-Day Delay for First-Time Borrowers:
    • First-time borrowers are subject to a 30-day delay before loan payments are credited to their accounts. This delay allows for processing and verification of borrower information.
  3. Online Requiements for First-Time Borrowers:
    • For first-time borrowers, there are two essential requirements that can be completed online at studentaid.gov:
      • Entrance Counseling: This session provides valuable information about loan responsibilities and repayment options.
      • Master Promissory Note (MPN) – Loan Agreement: The MPN serves as a legally binding agreement between the borrower and the lender, outlining the terms and conditions of the loan.
  4. Parent PLUS Loan Borrowers:
    • If you are a Parent PLUS loan borrower and your loan application is approved, you will need to submit a complete MPN. This step is necessary to finalize the loan agreement.
