CARES Act Grant for Sul Ross
Sul Ross State University has been granted funding from the Department of Education under the CARES Act to help address the pressing financial need of students due to the disruption of campus course delivery from COVID-19.
Students who have been affected by the disruption of campus operations may apply for funds to help offset their expenses such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child-care expenses.
Sul Ross would like to provide these funds to you the fastest way possible, which would be through direct deposit. If you have received a refund from financial aid through direct deposit this semester, no further action is required for set up and you may continue on to the application to apply for COVID-19 related expenses relief grant. If you have not received a refund from financial aid and have a bank account, please visit the Cashier’s Website for instructions on how to set up your bank account for direct deposit of financial aid refunds, or click here. Do not apply for the grant until you have set up your bank account for direct deposit.
If you have not received a refund from financial aid through direct deposit or have not already set up your bank account for direct deposit of financial aid refunds in previous semesters, and wish to opt out from receiving this grant by direct deposit, then please check mark the box in the application that says “check” and provide a mailing address to send you a paper check.
