Professor Cherise Johnson is a native Houstonian. She completed her doctorate from Abilene Christian University. She completed her graduate and undergraduate coursework at Texas Southern University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a Master of Arts in Speech Communications. It was through working at a nonprofit organization that Professor Johnson saw there was a strong need for more people to feel comfortable while speaking publicly and she then began her teaching journey.
