CMPS 1101

CMPS 1101 First Year Seminar (0-2). This course focuses on (1) the psychology of learning cognition and motivation (2) factors that impact learning and (3) application of learning strategies. Students use assessment instruments (e.g. learning inventories) to help them identify their own strengths and weaknesses as strategic learners. Additional topics include goal- setting motivation educational and career planning time-management note-taking preparing for exams and utilizing learning resources. Students developing these skills should be able to continually draw from this course.
