CSR 2372 Fundamental Security Design and Information Assurance (3-0). This course introduces the principles of security architecture and information assurance. Topics include the CIA triad (confidentiality, integrity, availability), cryptography fundamentals, access control, authentication, risk management, and security policy development. Students will explore real-world security threats and defenses through case studies, applied exercises, and design scenarios. Emphasis is placed on developing secure system design strategies and understanding the broader role of information assurance in protecting organizational assets.
