HIST 5311 United States History, 1600-1865: Readings and Research (3-0). A focus on early United States history beginning with an examination of the general state of North American and Native American groups. Topics may include colonial development, pre-revolution and revolutionary events, challenges of the early republic, slavery, westward expansion, and factors contributing to the Civil War.
