SPAN 5314 Culture and Civilization of Spain (3-0). This course aims to give an overview of some of the major trends in Spanish history, literature, and culture from ancient times to present. The course provides a background for understanding Spanish civilization and culture. It emphasizes the issues of gender, class, race, and the construction of regional identities in Spain.
