GEOL 4401

The course concerns the laws of sedimentation, the origin, history, description, classification, and interpretation of sedimentary rocks. It also involves determination of the rock types in the source areas. Laboratory work consists of petrographic investigation of thin sections of sedimentary rock types. Prerequisite: Geology 2405, 3408
