My name is Corey Rice, and I am an experienced Crime Scene Investigator and Professor with a demonstrated history working in the law enforcement, forensic, and educational industries. I am currently a full-time professor for San Jacinto College Criminal Justice program. I previously served as a Crime Scene Investigator (C.S.I.) with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and an adjunct instructor at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office training academy. As a C.S.I., I have training and practical experience in multiple forensic disciplines including, latent print processing and examination, bloodstain pattern analysis, shooting reconstruction, crime scene reconstruction, collision reconstruction, death investigation, crime scene photography, and digital forensics. As an adjunct instructor at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Academy, I teach basic crime scene investigation for patrol deputies. Before my current position and being a crime scene investigator, I served as a patrol deputy, field training officer, and patrol gang liaison. I have a Master Peace Officer license through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (T.C.O.L.E.), Advance Field Training Officer certification and an Advance Instructor certification. I obtained both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Lamar University. I obtained my Doctorate in Forensic Science from Oklahoma State University. Along with being a full-time professor, I also serve as an adjunct professor at Sul Ross State University and University of Maryland Global Campus. During my formal education I have experience learning and researching criminology, sociology, and victimology theories.
