Purpose
Students experiencing extenuating circumstances that hinder their ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress are entitled to appeal their financial aid suspension. The Financial Aid Appeals Committee is tasked with convening after each term to evaluate and decide on appeals, as well as to provide recommendations regarding student support services, including tutoring, counseling, and academic advising. Students are required to submit their financial aid appeal through a JotForm prior to the written deadline specified in the email they receive.
The committee will conduct an annual review of the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy and submit recommendations for modifications to the Director of Financial Aid.
Mission
The Financial Aid Committee is dedicated to ensuring that students who receive financial assistance uphold satisfactory academic progress (SAP) in their educational endeavors. Our mission is to set, oversee, and maintain standards that foster academic achievement while offering support and resources to assist students in reaching their educational goals.
