The Department of Education at Sul Ross State University, including Sul Ross State University – International, prepares students for positions in public education, including teachers, educational diagnosticians, principals, school counselors, and superintendents.  Other graduate professional positions including licensed professional counselors and technology specialists are also prepared by the Department.

In addition, the administration and staff in the Department of Education are responsible for reporting accurate data to the Texas Education Agency and the US Department of Education.
