Community Service and Civic Engagement is about working to make a difference in the civic life of our communities and developing the knowledge, skills, values, and motivation to make a difference. The Office of Civic Engagement and Student Assistance hosts a variety of programs and events, including volunteer opportunities and voter engagement opportunities, to facilitate student engagement with the community.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Family Crisis Center of Big Bend
    • Volunteers are needed to help sort donations at the FCCBB store, Deju Vu.
  • Frontier Casa
    • Volunteers over the age of 21 are needed to help advocate for children experiencing neglect and abuse.
  • Keep Alpine Beautiful
    • Join Keep Alpine Beautiful for a monthly community clean up.
  • Lobo Pantry
    • Volunteers are needed to assist with the Lobo Pantry each week. Complete the volunteer application to be considered to volunteer.
  • Museum of the Big Bend
    • Volunteers needed.
  • Sunshine House
    • Volunteers are needed to help deliver meals for the Meals on Wheels Program.
