Hello everyone! My name is Dr. Gloria Hudson, and I am passionate about understanding how the mind and body interact and how psychological science can promote better health outcomes for individuals and communities.

I hold a Psy.D Clinical Psychology, and I’ve spent over a 15 years as a mental health professional, teaching, mentoring, and working in academic and community health settings. Throughout my career, I’ve presented at national conferences, and developed student-centered courses that bridge psychological theory and real-world application.

My teaching philosophy centers on engagement, growth, and relevance. I believe students learn best when they can see how psychology connects to their everyday lives. That’s exactly what we’ll do in this course.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy providing mental wellness counseling, in my private practice, being a busy mom of four children, and spending time with those I love.

I’m excited to be part of your academic journey this semester and look forward to learning alongside you.
