Adelia Esperanza Parrado-Ortiz earned her Ph.D. in Spanish from Florida International University in 2007. She is an Associate Professor of Spanish at Bethune-Cookman University and currently also serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Spanish at Sul Ross University and Stetson University. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, she has more than 25 years of experience teaching Spanish language, literature, and culture in both face-to-face and online formats. Her research focuses on Hispanic Studies, literary criticism, and innovative language teaching methodologies. She also leads Stetson University's Study Abroad program in Spain and is preparing her doctoral dissertation for publication.
