A comprehensive introduction to four main areas of modern genetics: Mendelian genetics, cytogenesis, molecular genetics, and population genetics. The historical and philosophical basis for these areas will be dealt with using plant and animal studies. Prerequisite: General Botany or General Zoology or equivalent.
