An Instructional Technologist is a professional who integrates technology into learning environments to improve learning outcomes and educational value. They work with teachers, subject matter experts, and trainers to develop educational materials and training programs. Their responsibilities include integrating technology into curricula, developing technology programs for student needs, and overseeing virtual learning courses.  They develop training for teachers and administrators, and teach educators how to use computer applications and technologies, as well as maintaining and troubleshooting the technology used in the classroom or online. They research and evaluate the effectiveness of computer programs, and also audit educational programs and school systems to find opportunities for improvement.
