Hi, everyone. Welcome to CJ 1301: Introduction to Criminal Justice. I am Chief of Police Rickey George, and I will be your instructor for this course. This course aims to provide you with an introduction to the field of criminal justice, specifically offering an overview of the American criminal justice system and its integral subsystems: including police, courts, juries, prosecutors, defense and correctional agencies. We will delve into the standards and methods employed in responding to crime and managing criminal offenders.
