FINR 5302

FINR 5302 Introduction to Economics and Finance (3-0). This is a leveling course for the MBA Program to prepare students for FINA\FINR 5306. Students will learn the basic principles of economics with a focus on their application to business and finance. The course will cover money and capital markets along with a broad view of the entire financial field with special emphasis on discounted cash flow analysis, stock and bond valuation models, financial statement analysis, capital budgeting, cost of capital, and working capital management. Credit will not be awarded if the student has already taken ECOA 2301, ECONA 2302 and FINA\FINR 3340 or their equivalent.
