SRSU follows a ten-year calendar that schedules a program review for all academic programs within the cycle. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness coordinates with respective department chairs, college deans, dean of graduate studies, and the Provost evaluate all program reviews. The Academic Program Review (APR) provides evidence for THECB and SACSCOC Standards 7.1 and 8.2 compliance.
Graduate Program Reviews
The review of graduate programs is mandated by Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and follows the criteria provided in the Chapter 5, Subchapter C, section 5.52 of Coordinating Board rules requiring a self-review and an external reviewer.
Undergraduate Program Reviews
IE directs and coordinates the undergraduate program review. The undergraduate program review is aligned with the THECB guidelines, but does not require an external reviewer.
