Overview
The Lobo Promise Program at Sul Ross State University is designed to ensure that new students receive financial aid to cover tuition and mandatory fees. This program is available exclusively to first-time freshman students who are Texas residents and enroll as full-time students each semester. We provide eligible students with free tuition by combining federal, state, and institutional financial aid.
Program Requirements:
To be eligible for the Lobo Promise Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: Must be a Texas Resident
- Enrollment: First-time Freshmen
- FAFSA: Must complete the FAFSA.
- Financial Need: Demonstrate Financial Need
- Pell Grant: Federal Pell Grant Eligible
- Income: Household AGI of $80,000 or less
- Credit Hours: Must complete 15 semester credit hours per semester.
- Renewal: Renewable with a 2.0 cumulative Sul Ross GPA
- SAP Requirements: Must meet institutional and program-specific SAP requirements.
