Dr. Eduardo Russo is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of International Business at the Rio Grande College of Business, Sul Ross State University, and an Associate Researcher at the COPPEAD Graduate School of Business, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. His research examines how firms in and from emerging markets navigate internationalization, sustainability, and institutional uncertainty, with a focus on strategy, innovation, and global market dynamics. Through his research, teaching, and service, he seeks to produce applied knowledge with relevance for firms, policymakers, and society.

He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the AACSB-accredited COPPEAD/UFRJ and completed postdoctoral research at the same institution. He also earned two master’s degrees, one in International Management from the University of Bordeaux and another in Innovation and Business Management from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to undergraduate degrees in Economics and in Defense and International Strategic Management from UFRJ, where he graduated with honors. 

With nearly a decade of academic experience, Dr. Russo has taught undergraduate, graduate, and executive education courses in international business, management, marketing, logistics, and international relations across institutions in Brazil, Mexico, and the United States. Prior to academia, he worked in international logistics and foreign trade, supporting multinational operations in Brazil’s oil and gas industry. He maintains an active record of peer-reviewed publications and teaching cases and is particularly committed to mentoring students and developing research with practical and international relevance.
