EDSR 3100   Teacher Education Seminar   EDSR 3100 Teacher Education Seminar (1-0). In this course, candidates are introduced to the details of the teacher education program. Candidates learn about educator preparation, state certification requirements, and application into the program for all EC-6, 4-8, 7-12 teaching certification majors. Students must have earned at least 50 SCH to register in this course.

A course providing an overview of key aspects of the American Educational System including: Curriculum models and assessment, educator standards, the Texas Administrative Code, legal case studies, and the Educator Code of Ethics. Participants will review local, state, and national policies as they impact PK-12 education. Prerequisite: Completion of Blocks I and II, ED/EDUA 3302 & 4314 & 3303 & 4322. This web course explores instructional strategies and methods to highly engage students in the college classroom.
